I'm hoping someone can help me real quick as I've already wasted too much time re-doing these reports in CrystalĪfter having found out that Access won't handle them. I'm not even sure I want a CR9 viewer because I'm writing in CR8.5. To register the OLE server, reinstall it." I have no idea what this means. The Report is not showing in the CR Viewer control and each time I click the refresh button or print button, it gives a message EServer has not yet been opened E I am using a password protected MsAccess database. rpt file using the CRViewer control in VB.
CRYSTAL REPORT VIEWER CONTROL CRVIEWER.DLL HOW TO
If I import crviewer.dll as a control through painter Jade informs me that it will not import the reportSource reference as it is a reference to an ActiveXInterface class, so I have no idea how to link the report to the ocx. View it - CRViewer.viewReport Heres my problem. When I tried to insert the ActiveX Control I got the following message. I am a VB6 Programmer, but Iam new to Crystal Reports. Assign the report to the Viewer - CRViewer.reportSource : report 3. Then I tried registering Crystal Report Viewer Control9 using the same method crviewer9.dll. From what I've read I expected to bring up the Other tab on the properties and enter a ReportFileName and then be able to change in programatically. Then I opened a form and chose Insert/ActiveX Control/ and chose Crystal Report Viewer Control. I registered the Active X by going to Tools/ActiveX Controls/Crystal Report Viewer Control and registering crviewer.dll. I'm thinking that I have an Active X Control problem.

I've been over the Accocx97.mdb example on how to set up a CR in Access, however in XP I don't see a place to put the file name of the report. CRViewer.8.0 DescriptionCrystal Report Viewer Control> What I really would like to do is view the reports from within Access using the Crystal Active-X. The library Mergemod.dll adds custom actions to set the SystemFolder property. If this is the way to go then hopefully this will be a simple copy/paste procedure once I get into it because I've already created the reports. Also it looks as if the Wizard is used to create reports. I tried using the Wizard only to find that it asked for a password. I have an Access database (XP) from which I created several Crystal Reports (8.5) because Access would not handle all the fields required for the reports.
